The Malaysian Government works hard to develop the country, at the same time strives to maintain the harmony and peace in the beloved country. The diversity of races, ethnicities, religions and cultures in Malaysian is a great challenge to the government in maintaining the peace in the country. Community Mediation is a program created by the government, organized by the Department of National Unity and Intergration under the Office of the Prime Minister to foster unity and intergration among the people and at the same time, provide an opportunity for residents to resolve disputes at community level without going to court or government agencies. This method is none other than traditional dispute resolution that has been adopted by each race and ethnicity in Malaysia during the pre-colonization period with a new brand. The nature of each race and ethnicity preferring amicable settlement than confrontation has allowed Malaysians to live in harmony. Hopefully, Community Mediation would unite the diversity of Malaysia.
