House is one of the important cultural element in the life of a community. Malay house and its construction reflects a form of Malay culture that inhabit it. Traditional Malay house is part of the architectural heritage of the Malays are very valuable and have been designed and constructed to reveal how skilled and creative Malays in the field  of architecture. The design displays and breadth of wisdom in the use of space in accordance with current needs, adapting weather and the use of building materials. Traditional Malay house symbolizes a way of life and open attitude of the Malays. This book documented seven categories traditional  Malay house; the house of warrior, the house of religious scholar, the house of tribal leader, the house of merchant, the house of aristocrat, the house of craftmen, and the house of village folk.
